What is Pandan? (Pandanus amaryllifolius)

Pandanus amaryllifolius is a tropical plant in the Pandanus (screwpine) genus, which is commonly known as pandan leaves , and is used widely in South Asian and Southeast Asian cooking as a flavoring. ) wikipedia.com

There are two types of pandan leaves according to their purposes. 


  1. Pandan Wangi usually used for cooking. the benefit is as a flavoring and as a cake decoration accessories.
  2. Pandan Duri used as a form of woven handicrafts. Our company uses the best quality of pandanus thorns to be used as raw material

before becoming a bag, pandan leaf through several stages in order to get into the weaving stage. Leaves cleared of thorns that stick, then boiled to remove sap. pandan leaves have been boiled dried before entering the stage staining. Last, pandan leaves are ready to be woven.
